Frogmarch 2006 Announcement

The impromptu Frogmarch committee has decided to hold Frogmarch 2006 at the Friars Carse Country House Hotel, near Dumfries. It is an historic baronial hall, dating back to the 13th century, set in 45 acres of woodland. Robert Burns wrote many works while staying at Friars Carse.

Frogmarch 2006 will run from Friday 12 to Monday 15 May. Local attractions include the historic town of Dumfries, the wonderful Caerlaverock Castle, and an opportunity to find out about Devil's Porridge.

All are welcome. Come for all or part of the weekend. If you would like to come, please book directly with the hotel. Double rooms (B&B) are £79 per room per night, and single rooms £52.

If you prefer to stay elsewhere, there are plenty of hotels and guesthouses in nearby Dumfries.

(If you want a lift from central England, cavolo will be driving up from Nottingham on the Friday morning. If you want a life from Edinburgh Airport, qidane will be driving past on the Friday.)
